Brentford confirm signing of Pontus Jansson from Championship rivals Leeds
Brentford have announced the signing of defender Pontus Jansson from Leeds for an undisclosed fee. The 28-year-old joins the Bees on a three-year deal following his fallout with Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa. Jansson was a fan favourite at Elland Road after joining from Torino in 2016 and made 120 appearances, including 44 last season. However, his Leeds career turned sour when he disobeyed Bielsa’s orders during a chaotic Championship clash with Aston Villa.
