Casemiro’s house ‘raided by armed robbers with wife and kids inside’ during Madrid derby
Casemiro reportedly had his house burgled while his wife and daughter were inside during the Madrid derby on Saturday evening. The Brazil midfielder is the latest high-profile footballer to fall victim to thieves with Zinedine Zidane, Isco, Alvaro Morata and Lucas Vasquez suffering break-ins. Liverpool star Sadio Mane also had his home burgled while playing for the Reds against Bayern Munich at Anfield in February. Spanish television channel El Chiringuito have made the claim about the break-in at Casemiro’s home during Real Madrid’s 0-0 draw with Atletico Madrid. It is claimed the robbers broke in while the midfielder’s wife and children hid upstairs. Despite dropping two points in a lacklustre…

Gibson wants more from Skelton
Coach Daryl Gibson is demanding more from Will Skelton after dumping the giant Wallabies lock from the NSW Waratahs’ Super Rugby crunch match with the Queensland Reds. Skelton has been unable to regain form and fitness since suffering a pectoral injury at the 2015 Rugby World Cup, and Gibson is turning to his band of generation-next forwards to ignite the Waratahs’ stop-start campaign. With the 140kg player relegated to Sydney club rugby, Dave Dennis moves into the second row to partner Dean Mumm, which paves the way for hard-hitting blindside flanker Jack Dempsey to make his long-awaited run-on debut for the Waratahs on Sunday. “Jack’s been a player of enormous…

Waratahs make it three on the trot
The Waratahs are well and truly in finals contention, after a third consecutive win, 21-6 over the Cheetahs on Saturday night. NSW went agonisingly close of clinching the vital bonus point that would have put them on top of the conference, with a potential Israel Folau try after full-time. With tries to Reece Robinson and Bernard Foley in the bank and none for the Cheetahs, a third five-pointer would have secured the extra point. A TMO review determined a Michael Hooper pass in the lead up was forward, snuffing out the Waratahs’ extra point opportunity. The result leaves them on equal points with conference leaders the Brumbies and holding a game…

The Week 4 NFL weather forecast is up, and it looks like another interesting week. Keyshawn Johnson suggests USC fire Clay Helton — a la Lane Kiffin — with 'tarmac' tweet | Sporting News
Keyshawn Johnson has seemingly run out of patience with USC coach Clay Helton, even suggesting the Trojans fire the fifth-year coach — albeit in a roundabout way. Shortly after No. 21 USC’s 28-14 loss at No. 17 Washington on Saturday, the former Trojans receiver tweeted a screenshot of a Google search for the word “tarmac.” MORE: Takeaways from Washington’s win over USC Click Here: Golf Equipment Online This, of course, is a reference to the fact USC in 2013 fired Lane Kiffin on the tarmac at Los Angeles International Airport. The firing took place five games into the season after the Trojans fell to 3-2 with a loss at Arizona State.…

Reds open minded with Kerevi's best spot
He’s made the Test 13 spot his own, but Samu Kerevi’s regular position at the Reds next season is yet to be nailed down, according to coach Nick Stiles Kerevi featured at inside centre in Australia’s June series but has had most of his impact at Super Rugby and Test level in the outside spot. The 23-year-old has split his time between 12 and 13 for the Reds, though every one of his Queensland appearances this season was at outside centre.
