BTN Announces Gopher Wrestling Broadcast Schedule
The Big Ten Network announced their live programming schedule Wednesday ahead of the start of the 2018-19 season. Minnesota will appear twice on BTN broadcasts during the regular season with both televised duals taking place at Maturi Pavilion. The Gophers will make their debut on the Big Ten Network when they open their B1G conference schedule against Rutgers on Jan. 6, at either 12:00 p.m. or 2:15 p.m CT. Minnesota and the Scarlet Knights last met a season ago in New Jersey with the Gophers coming away with a 20-12 victory. The Gophers defeated the then No. 18 Rutgers by winning six matches in the dual, including an Ethan Lizak tech fall.…

As previously reported, it was recently announced that Allie has signed with All Elite Wrestling and has already finished up with IMPACT Wrestling, according to PWInsider. Allie’s last appearance for IMPACT Wrestling aired on last night’s episode. The report stated that she knew back in January the company wouldn’t be renewing her deal as they look to refresh the roster. STORM LAKE, Iowa – Henry Pohlmeyer, Tanner Sloan and Blake Wolters each won individual titles, while Clay Carlson and Zach Price shared top honors in the 141-pound division to lead a South Dakota State wrestling contingent Saturday at the Buena Vista Open. ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Seven Saint John’s University wrestlers competed at the St. Cloud State Husky Open on Saturday, Dec. 8. Junior Noah Becker (Browerville, Minn.) led the Johnnies for the second consecutive tournament with a 2-0 record to take first place in the three-man, 133-pound bracket. He defeated his teammate, freshman Zack Zavadil (Clearwater, Minn./Monticello), via technical fall in his first match and posted an 11-0 major decision over Augsburg’s Quinn Youngs.
