Cruiserweight title match official for WWE SummerSlam
Oney Lorcan is getting a Cruiserweight title shot at SummerSlam. Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak will defend his title against Lorcan at Sunday’s pay-per-view. Lorcan was set up as Gulak’s challenger for the PPV by defeating Tony Nese, Jack Gallagher, Akira Tozawa, Kalisto, and Ariya Daivari in a number one contender’s six-pack challenge on this week’s 205 Live. There was a sequence of finishing moves at the end of the six-pack challenge, with Lorcan hitting a half-and-half suplex on Nese to get the win. Gulak then came out to the ramp and had a staredown with Lorcan. The Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada is hosting SummerSlam on Sunday. Here’s the updated list of…

AEW reveals locations for fourth and fifth TV episodes
AEW has now revealed the locations for all of their October television episodes. The host cities for weeks four and five of AEW TV were announced on this week’s Being the Elite. On Wednesday, October 23, week four of AEW on TNT will take place at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia will then host week five on Wednesday, October 30. Tickets for the shows will go on sale this Friday (August 23) at noon Eastern time. The Petersen Events Center lists a capacity of 12,508 for basketball and 9,000 for end stage concerts. The Charleston Coliseum has 13,500 seats. Pittsburgh is the hometown of…

Former Impact Wrestling broadcast team member McKenzie Mitchell is now with WWE. On her social media accounts today, Mitchell announced that she’s joined WWE as an on-air host: “DREAM COME TRUE your newest @WWE on-air host” Mitchell was part of the Impact broadcast team as a backstage interviewer until departing the promotion this January. She wrote a farewell post to Impact at the time: “Grateful. Changed. IMPACTed. Undoubtedly the most exhilarating and exciting experience of my life thus far.
