DES MOINES – North Dakota State wrestlers Trent Sprenkle and Steven Monk moved one step closer to earning the first All-America honors of the school’s Division I era on Friday afternoon at the NCAA Wrestling Championships. Both won a pair of matches to advance to the Round of 12, which will begin at 6 p.m. Friday evening. No. 9-seeded Sprenkle (31-5) will wrestle two-time NCAA champion and No. 3 seed Matt McDonough of Iowa. The winner will be guaranteed a top-eight finish and All-American honors.
