    Human Race announce 2016 events

    The long-established multisport event organiser, Human Race, has revealed its line-up for 2016, with UK classic Windsor Triathlon, the perennially popular Eton SuperSprints and an ITU World Sprint Distance Qualifier all included.     Athletes from 35 nations lined up on Sunday 25th October at the second edition of Challenge Forte Village in Sardinia, in a thrilling race that eventually saw Alessandro Degasperi of Italy and Brit Susie Cheetham take the wins in 3:53:56 and 4:26:20 respectively.     The Castle Triathlon Series have added three new events to the Bastion iron-distance triathlon weekend on Sunday 10 July 2016, including the middle-distance Gauntlet race.     Back in May this year we reported on the launch of a unique new two-day event, that will be held on a private island in the Bahamas this November (see the original story here).     Xterra World Championships: Josiah Middaugh and Flora Duffy take titles

    Josiah Middaugh and Flora Duffy were the winners of the 20th Xterra off-road Triathlon World Championships in Kapalua, Maui yesterday.  Advertisement Middaugh won the men’s title at the 15th time of asking, becoming the first American to take top spot since Michael Tobin in 2000. ITU star Duffy capped of a perfect Xterra season with five straight wins on the tour, and won her second championship in successive years.
