Will Wrestlemania be postponed?
City of Tampa officials will be meeting with Mayor Jane Castor tomorrow to discuss the possibilities of either canceling or postponing major events due to the coronavirus. One major, and probably the biggest, event coming to Tampa over the course of the next few weeks is obviously WrestleMania. Taking place at the Ray James Stadium with week-long activities around the city, WrestleMania is expected to bring in some 80,000 fans from all around the world descending upon the city for shows, meet and greets, and all kinds of other fun. AEW Dynamite from Rochester Postponed Until July 8
Next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, which had been scheduled to air from Rochester, New York, will no longer happen in the city. Ticketmaster announced that the event has been postponed until July 8. This comes on the heels of the city cancelling or postponing several events in the last 48 hours. April 15 Dynamite from Boston rescheduled to August
All Elite Wrestling announced today that the upcoming Dynamite in Boston originally set for April 15 has been moved. The new Boston date is now August 5 at the same place, The Agganis Arena. Fans who have already purchased tickets to the Boston show will be offered a refund via the point of purchase, or have their original ticket valid for admission to the August 5 show. “We appreciate your understanding as the safety and well-being of our fans and talent is always our top priority. WWE Reportedly Has MSG Event Scheduled for June 27
WWE had a live event that was scheduled for March 22 in New York City at Madison Square Garden. However, that event is now off due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the state of New York had announced that gatherings of 500 people or more will not be permitted. PWInsider has an update on how ticket holders for March 22 might be able to use their ticket purchases at a future event in NYC. Dynamite returns from the Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida tonight behind a closed set for more live action. AEW has chosen to keep doing a live broadcast instead of taping like WWE, risking to get eventually shut down and caught without any future content.
