Anderlecht make late attempt to sign Brest’s Islam Slimani
Santi Aouna is reporting that Belgian side Anderlecht have made a late attempt to sign Stade Brestois striker Islam Slimani (34). The Algerian international has played 18 games for Brest this season, including 16 in Ligue 1. During that time, he has scored two goals and registered three assists for the club, who are currently 16th in the French top flight. Given that four teams will be relegated this season, Brest are very much embroiled in a battle to retain their Ligue 1 status. However, they could lose a staple of their attacking Slimani.
