    Northampton Saints director of rugby Phil Dowson was full of praise for his squad for the way they adjusted without several players en route to their 19-18 triumph in Saturday’s East Midlands derby against Leicester Tigers at Welford Road.     McLaren set to begin aero work in new wind tunnel in June

    McLaren says its new long-awaited wind tunnel in Woking has now been completed, and the team hopes to have access to its new tool in June. The completion of McLaren’s crucial piece of infrastructure was a priority for the outfit’s former team boss Andreas Seidl and technical director James Key, and was initially expected to conclude in 2021. But the global Covid pandemic led to the wind tunnel’s construction being delayed by two years, forcing McLaren to continue to conduct most of its aerodynamic work at Toyota’s facility in Cologne.     Fiji: Vern Cotter steps down as head coach with immediate effect

    Fiji have been dealt a huge setback just over eight months out from the Rugby World Cup in France with the news that their head coach, Vern Cotter, has stepped down from his position with immediate effect. Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) chairman Humphrey Tawake said his organisation had accepted Cotter’s letter of resignation and that a new coach will be appointed “in due course”.     Jordan Veretout in line for France national team call-up
