Potential Changes To The Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match At WWE Super ShowDown
It appears that WWE may have made a change to the match card for WWE Super ShowDown on Thursday with the gauntlet match.
When WWE originally announced the Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet match, Rusev was slated to participate in the match. However, despite still being shown on the graphic last night, WWE mentioned that Rey Mysterio was competing instead of him.
The match will see R-Truth, AJ Styles, Erick Rowan, Bobby Lashley, and the United States Champion, Andrade compete, with Mysterio now seemingly joining the line-up and replacing Rusev.
WWE.com is advertising Rey Mysterio on the events page, but the match graphic hasn’t been altered to reflect that change yet, although Mysterio is also being tagged on social media to promote the match.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider has reported that the change is official and that WWE has decided against using Rusev because he has still not agreed on a new contract with the company.
