Complete 5/9 NXT TV Taping Results From Orlando, FL *Spoilers*

The NXT brand returned to Full Sail University in Orlando, FL this evening for another round of television tapings, that will likely take the promotion through next month’s NXT Takeover: Chicago special event. Thanks to Jacon Cohen on Twitter for the results.

– Lio Rush def. Marcel Barthel

– Tommaso Ciampa came out to Johnny Gargano’s music, which of course did not go over well. He gloats about putting Johnny in the hospital and says he’s currently at home watching NXT in a neck brace. Candice LeRae came out and said she couldn’t even recognize what Ciampa had become. He used to be their best friend and part of their family, and doesn’t understand why he’s so obsessed with ruining their lives. Ciampa said that Johnny will never be half the man that he is, and took a slap across the face before leaving.

– Lacey Evans def. Brandi Lauren.

– Kairi Sane attacked Evans after the match to get a little revenge.

– Velveteen Dream vs. Ricochet ends in a no-contest.

– Lars Sullivan came out and beat up both guys.

– Kona Reeves def. Raul Mendoza

– Pete Dunne, Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan def. Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong in a 6-man tag team match

– Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae made their way to the ring to a tremendous ovation. He was wearing a neck brace and teased retiring from all the brutal beatings he’s taken lately, but instead ripped off the brace and calls out Tommaso Ciampa, which his wife is NOT happy about. Ciampa comes out but referees get in between them before anything can happen. They end up going at it anyways, and Johnny somehow went flying into Candice and laid her out.

– Lars Sullivan def. Velveteen Dream & Ricochet in a handicap match

– Dream turned on his partner and left him laying, allowing Sullivan to pick the pieces.

– Kassius Ohno def. Chad Lail

– War Raiders won a squash match

– EC3 def. Fabian Aichner

– Johnny Gargano came out to announce that he has signed a contract to face Tommaso Ciampa one more time, this time in a Street Fight, at NXT Takeover: Chicago.

– Kairi Sane def. Lacey Evans

– NXT Champion Aleister Black came out talking about how transformative an experience being the champion has been for him. Lars Sullivan came out and the two had a staredown, and it was officially announced that Sullivan will be facing Black for the title at NXT Takeover: Chicago!

– Shayna Baszler (c) def. Dakota Kai to retain the NXT Women’s Championship. 

– Nikki Cross came out and attacked Baszler after the match.
