Leeds United have made a great gesture to their supporters by freezing season ticket prices… regardless of a potential promotion to the Premier League.
The Elland Road club are one of the favourites to win a place in the first division, thus ending their 15-year absence from the top table of English football.
Leeds were knocked down to third place in the Championship on Saturday as they were not in action, but Marcelo Bielsa’s side will move back into first if they win the game in hand they have over Norwich and Sheffield United, the two teams above them.
And, should Leeds win promotion, supporters will have to pay just £349 to watch all 19 home Premier League matches next season.
That is the price of Leeds’ cheapest adult season ticket, with the club now going eight years in a row without making them more expensive.
