Chelsea latest: Petr Cech to return to Stamford Bridge in technical role ‘within 24 hours’ after leaving Arsenal
Petr Cech is set to return to Chelsea in a technical role in the next 24 hours, according to reports.
The shot-stopper made his name in English football with the Blues during a trophy-laden spell, but finished his career at Arsenal.
In fact, his final game before retiring was against the Blues in Baku in the Europa League final.
But according to Sky Sports News, the 37-year-old is on his way back to Stamford Bridge.
It is understood the role will take on some of the responsibilities left behind by ex-technical director Michael Emenalo.
According to The Telegraph, Cech will act as a link and mediator between the board and the first-team coaching and playing staff..

As talkSPORT exclsuively revealed earlier on Thursday, Lampard is waiting to take over at Stamford Bridge once a compensation package with Derby County is agreed.
And another former Blue could be set for a return to the King’s Road, with Claude Makelele set to work with club’s loan players.
Makelele was one of the first signings in the Roman Abramovich era, joining from Real Madrid in 2003.
