Liverpool pre-season fixtures: Showpiece friendlies against Dortmund, Napoli and Schalke – dates and times

Liverpool claimed Champions League glory last season to crown a fine campaign for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

The Reds beat Tottenham 2-0 in Madrid on June 1, claiming European redemption following 2018’s heartbreak in the final.

Jurgen Klopp’s side had a brilliant season but still missed out on Premier League glory, with Manchester City claiming their second straight title.

Liverpool will now want to improve even further next term and end their league crown drought.

And to do so, they have drawn up their pre-season schedule to get their preparations spot on.

Liverpool will face Klopp’s old club Borussia Dortmund, as well as Sevilla and Sporting CP in late July.

The Reds will also face City in the Community Shield after Pep Guardiola’s side won the FA Cup.

July 21: Sevilla, Fenway Park (Boston) – kick-off at 11pm UK time

July 25: Sporting CP, Yankee Stadium (New York) – kick-off at 1am UK time

July 28: Napoli, Murrayfield (Edinburgh) – kick-off at 5pm UK time

July 31: Lyon, Stade de Geneve (Geneve) – kick-off at 6pm UK time

August 4: Community Shield, Manchester City, Wembley – kick-off at 3pm UK time

August 14: UEFA Super Cup, Chelsea, Vodafone Park (Istanbul, Turkey) – kick-off at 8pm UK time
