Arsenal transfer news: Dani Ceballos ‘in London for medical’, with William Saliba also set to sign
Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos is in London for a medical with Arsenal, with his move to the Emirates Stadium set to go ahead as planned.
Earlier this week, it was reported the Gunners had agreed a deal to sign the Spain Under-21 international on loan from the Bernabeu.
However, there were fears the transfer could be off after Real midfielder Marco Asensio suffered a serious knee injury in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday, with Unai Emery admitting he was unsure if the deal would still go ahead.
But it is understood the highly-rated 22-year-old WILL sign for Arsenal and his arrival could be announced imminently.
The midfielder will sign on a season-long loan agreement, but it is claimed there will be no option to buy the player in a permanent deal.
The Gunners are also close to completing the signing of Saint Etienne defender William Saliba.
The 18-year-old centre-back has been linked with the Gunners for weeks, and he will finally sign a contract with the north London club before returning to Saint Etienne on loan for the forthcoming season.
And it is suggested one of the deals could be announced on Wednesday evening, after the Gunners team landed back from their pre-season tour of the United States earlier in the day.
With two bids for Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney turned down and a move for Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha seemingly dead in the water, Arsenal fans will be pleased to see further arrivals with teenage striker Gabriel Martinelli the only summer addition thus far.
