Ex-Sky Sports presenter Ian Payne reveals stitches on Twitter after being glassed in face in unprovoked pub attack
Former Sky Sports News presenter Ian Payne showed off his scars after a horrific attack.
Payne was glassed by an unknown assailant and took to Twitter on Saturday night to show off the stitches in his face.
The 56-year-old now works for ITV Sports and reassured his followers on social media he was recovering after the incident.
Revealing his stitched up face via a selfie, Payne grimaced in pain as he showed off his bloated face.
Payne wrote: “Thank-you Met Police and NHS West Middlesex Hospital for your amazing skills.
“Not thank u to the glasser [sic] who thought this was ok.”
While it is unclear where or when the attack took place, Payne admittedly he did not know what prompted the incident to occur.
Payne went on to pay huge tribute to the NHS and the police who helped him after the shocking incident.

He wrote: “When you need them, our emergency services are the best in the world. Seriously. Thank you.
“The police were amazing. And the doctors. Seriously. Amazing.
He then went on to re-assure the well-wishers that he was “fine, all good.”
