Tottenham should force Christian Eriksen to train with the kids as his head has been turned, Spurs caller tells talkSPORT
A Tottenham fan has urged Spurs to demote Christian Eriksen to their youth side due to the way he has handled himself over the past few months.
Eriksen, the midfielder, admitted earlier this year that he wants to leave north London for a new challenge, with Manchester United and Real Madrid understood to be keen on him.
However, United had not signed the Denmark international by the time the Premier League transfer window closed earlier this month, and Los Blancos appear unlikely to swoop for Eriksen before next week’s European transfer deadline.
Ian Holloway says Tottenham are right to not make Christian Eriksen a major part of the team while his future is uncertain
As a result he remains part of Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team, but has started only one of Spurs’ first three matches of the season, being introduced from the bench in the other two.

Given the Lilywhites’ shaky campaign so far there have been fears the Eriksen situation is affecting the club, and Pochettino suggested after Sunday’s shock defeat by Newcastle that his squad is ‘unsettled’.
And Tottenham fan Steve, who called into talkSPORT’s Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on Tuesday, believes Eriksen should be forced to train with the kids to kick him out of the senior set-up.
“No one knows, unless you are inside the club, what is really going on with these players,” said Steve.
“I’m not aiming this at [Jan] Vertonghen or [Toby] Alderweireld, as they are model professionals, but certainly Eriksen can throw a strop.
“He hasn’t had his wish of wanting a different lifestyle in Spain, it’s affected him slightly and maybe knocked his confidence back as he expected big clubs to come in for him and they haven’t.
“If they have they certainly haven’t firmed it up with the sort of offer he may think he’s worth.

“Now, quite frankly, if he is not going to be man enough to stand up and accept the club are still paying his wages, and they will be for at least the next 12 months, then I think keeping him on the bench, or not even picking him for the bench, is the right move.
“Clearly his head has been turned and his heart is not in it.
“If that is the case he shouldn’t even be there… he should be training with the kids!”
