Liverpool set club record for consecutive wins and statistic proves that they are one of the greatest sides in history
Jurgen Klopp’s current Liverpool team continue to smash records and their latest feat shows they are now one of the best in history.
The German has assembled an incredibly talented side, winning the Champions League last season and finishing runners-up the year before.
Liverpool would no doubt have more trophies if it was not for Manchester City. Their total of 97 points was not enough to win the Premier League last season and they may have to replicate that to stand a chance of lifting the trophy in May.
Their recent record from the end of last season to the start this campaign has been staggering.
The Reds’ 3-0 win over Burnley on Saturday was their 13th in a row, which is a club record for consecutive league wins.
Kenny Dalglish’s side in 1990 went 12 matches without drawing or losing but Jurgen Klopp has now surpassed that achievement.

They have reached that feat in some style as well as they scored more than once in each of those 13 wins. They are only the second team in top flight history to do that with the other being Tottenham in 1960.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was delighted that the side broke another record and hoped to it would continue.
“Obviously we want to be setting records, want to be doing good things,” Alexander-Arnold told Sky Sports.
“It’s always a good sign when you’re setting records for the club, it’s an unbelievable side that we’ve got, we’re winning an unbelievable amount of games.
“We’ve really started the way we ended last season, winning all of our games.
“Hopefully we keep that rhythm up and hopefully, touch wood, stay injury-free over the internationals.”
Liverpool will beat Man City to the title says Simon Jordan
Klopp’s side still have some way to go to equal to Premier League record for consecutive wins.
Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering Man City side in 2017/18 made it 18 straight victories before they eventually lost.
That year they became the first side in Premier League history to amass 100 points on their way to the title.
