Football fans stunned as ‘child’ caught smoking at game turns out to be 36-year-old father… watching match with his SON
Social media was sent into meltdown when a ‘child’ seen smoking during a match between Fenerbache and Bursaspor turned out to be a 36-year-old man!
Despite the man’s fresh-faced appearance resulting in many claiming a youngster was smoking, locals say the individual is actually a fully-fledged adult – who was watching the match with his SON.
With the international break currently taking place, the two Turkish clubs decided to arrange a friendly, with proceeds from the game going to organisations that fight against diseases such as leukaemia and Down Syndrome.
When the camera panned away pre-match, it captured what at first looked like a child enjoying a crafty smoke.
The clip quickly went viral on social media, though the man was eventually revealed to be a Bursaspor fan named Cocuk.
And the youngster sitting next to him? That is, in fact, his son!
While it has come as a relief to discover the ‘child’ was actually an adult, Cocuk could find himself in hot water due to being caught on camera with a cigarette.
Smoking in public places such as a football ground is banned in Turkey and can carry a fine of £13.
