Watch Chris Evans Scare the Pants Off Fans in Hilarious Prank

We always knew Chris Evans was a doll, but we never expected him to take things this far.

The Captain America star recently played a prank on some unsuspecting shoppers at a comic book store in his home state of Massachusetts—all for a good cause. Hiding in the basement, Evans walked his unwitting participants through an escape room challenge through a microphone hidden in a Captain America doll.

Unbeknownst to the customers, Evans collaborated with Omaze to transform the Boston store into a Captain America-themed escape room. Watching via hidden camera, Evans helped a motley collection of participants to collect clues and complete puzzles to free themselves from the game.

Holding back laughter, the 35-year-old directed each group through the game, at one point having them dress up in ski masks to uncover Hydra operatives on the street, and even instructs them to reach into a snake-infested hole to unlock a hidden door. It was only after leading them into the basement that Evans revealed himself, and his mission.

“Now that you’ve seen what escape rooms are all about, let’s see if you have what it takes to get out of one,” Evans says to the camera before introducing the real Boston challenge.

Evans is teaming up with Omaze to raise money for Christopher’s Haven, a charity that provides temporary housing for families with children receiving cancer treatment in Boston. To enter to play in an escape room with Evans on your team, fans can make donations here until Feb. 3. All proceeds will go to support Christopher’s Haven.
