Mauricio Pochettino’s links to Manchester United job will increase if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side lose to Sheffield United, says ex-Spurs star Chris Waddle
Former Tottenham star Chris Waddle believes Sheffield United could play a huge part in Mauricio Pochettino’s future this weekend.

A run of three wins from 12 Premier League games cost Pochettino his job at Spurs on Tuesday, and he was replaced by Jose Mourinho less than 24 hours later.
The Argentine is likely to be in high demand following his five-and-a-half years of service in north London, which saw him guide Tottenham to the Champions League final last season.
Pochettino was heavily linked with the Manchester United job before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was given the permanent gig in March.
And Waddle, who played for Spurs between 1985 and 1989, thinks those links could return if United lose at Sheffield United on Sunday.

He told the Racing Post: “Mauricio Pochettino won’t be out of work for long and there’s a game at Bramall Lane this weekend which could be massive for his future.
“Sheffield United take on Manchester United in a game which has far bigger implications than just the three points.
“United have never made any secret of the fact that they wanted Pochettino and he’s now suddenly available.”
The Red Devils appear to have turned a corner under Solskjaer in recent weeks, winning five of their last six games in all competitions.
However, sections of the Old Trafford faithful remain unconvinced that the Norwegian is the man to return the club to their glory days.
And Pochettino’s availability could shine a brighter spotlight on Solskjaer’s position in the forthcoming months.
Waddle added: “Under Solskjaer, United are showing signs of turning a corner.
“Dan James is blossoming, Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford are starting to dominate games and Nemanja Matic is fit again. Things are looking up for Solskjaer – or they were until Spurs sacked Pochettino.
“Defeat at Sheffield United on Sunday suddenly ratchets up the pressure on Solskjaer, there will be a feeding frenzy from the media, and it will be interesting to see if United’s board reacts.
“United wouldn’t be alone in wanting Pochettino. Bayern Munich have to be tempted, he has links with Paris Saint-Germain and obviously there’s the lure of Spain.”
