Tottenham ace Heung-min Son becomes Sonic the Hedgehog in brilliant social media video to celebrate wonder goal against Burnley
Heung-min Son’s superb solo effort against Burnley on Saturday is quite rightly a contender for goal of the season.
The South Korea international collected the ball on the edge of his own box before dribbling right the way through the Clarets’ defence and finishing expertly beyond Nick Pope.
It was the third goal of the match in an eventual 5-0 win for Spurs and was the best of a brilliant bunch, even more so than Harry Kane’s clinical brace.

While there will be endless replays of Son’s wonder goal for many years to come, the social media team at Spurs created a brilliant video to give a different take on the strike.
Dubbed ‘Sonny’, the Spurs ace is repackaged as Sega video game legend Sonic the Hedgehog and runs through rings, collecting points as he glides through the visitors back line.

This is the second time Son has become Sonic, with Spurs also doing the same to celebrate his excellent goal against Chelsea last season.
After Saturday’s match, Jose Mourinho compared Son’s brilliance to that of Brazil legend Ronaldo when he was at Barcelona.
“Even before this goal my son calls him ‘Sonaldo’, and today he was ‘Sonaldo Nazario’,” the Spurs boss remarked.
“The only thing that came to my mind was a goal where I had the honour to be sat next to Sir Bobby Robson, in 1996, and Ronaldo Nazario scored a goal against Compostela from behind the halfway line and scored a very similar goal.
“I met his parents yesterday, and I understood also where it comes from. The kid is fantastic and I am so happy.”
