Mino Raiola ‘held talks over representing Marcus Rashford’ despite his fractious relations with Manchester United

Mino Raiola reportedly held talks with Marcus Rashford’s agents with a view to possibly representing the Manchester United forward.

Rashford is currently represented by his brothers: Dane Rashford and Dwaine Maynard, who created their own agency.

David Ornstein, of The Athletic, reported that the kingpin agent met his brothers in a meeting early last year – and both parties impressed each other during the talks.

Speaking on the Chapman and Ornstein podcast, it was claimed Rashford’s representatives were keen for advice on how to grow their younger sibling’s profile in the game.

The news may come as a blow to Ed Woodward and co, with Mark Chapman insisting United were ‘sick to the core’ of the Italian.

Raiola, who represents Paul Pogba, recently hit out at the club’s sporting project and said he would not take any players to Old Trafford in light of Pogba’s time at the club.

“I wouldn’t take anyone there, they would even ruin Maradona, Pele and Maldini,” he said. “Paul needs a club and a squad, one like Juventus was before.”

Pogba has consistently been linked with a move away from Manchester United and in the summer Raiola told talkSPORT that his client had always been ‘respectful and professional’.

In recent weeks, Jesse Lingard has also joined forces with Raiola, and it is believed the agent has reportedly offered the forward to a host of Serie A clubs.

While the relationship between the two parties reportedly grew worse after United target Erling Haaland’s moved to Borussia Dortmund earlier this month.

There were suggestions that United pulled out of a move due to Raiola’s involvement, and the Norway marksman sealed his switch to the Bundesliga outfit after they met his release clause.
