Christian Eriksen transfer latest as Tottenham exit edges closer with agent meeting Inter director over switch
Christian Eriksen’s move to Internazionale appears to be edging closer as his agent reportedly met with representatives of the Serie A club.
The Denmark international has been linked with a move away from Tottenham during the January transfer window even though his contract expires in the summer.
Jose Mourinho hinted the midfielder could soon leave as he insisted he has ‘given everything’ during his seven-year spell in north London.
The 27-year-old’s relationship with the fans appears to be souring as he was booed by some sections of the home support in Tottenaham’s FA Cup third-round replay vs Middlesbrough on Tuesday.
Eriksen has refused to sign a new contract at White Hart Lane with his deal expiring this summer, and he’s made clear his intentions of playing elsewhere.
Italian publication Calciomercato report that Eriksen’s agent Martin Schoots had dinner with Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta ahead of a proposed switch to San Siro.

The Serie A club have been pursuing the creative midfielder all January and deal looks like it could be completed soon.
Some reports suggest a £13million bid has been tabled as Antonio Conte’s side look to end Juventus’ dominance of Italian football.
Inter are just two points behind Juve at the top of the table but they will need all the help they can get to stop the Turin-based club from winning a ninth consecutive title.
Tottenham completed their first January signing earlier this week with Gedson Fernandes, a midfielder who could be considered Eriksen’s replacement, joining on an initial 18-month loan from Benfica.
Spurs have also been linked with adding a new striker this month due to Harry Kane’s injury, and the likes of Milan’s Krzysztof Piatek and Ze Luis of Porto are alleged targets of Mourinho’s.
