Hurricane Michael, an aggressive Category 3 storm, is moving into Georgia after its eye wall hit the Florida Panhandle around 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time Wednesday. Supercharged by abnormally warm waters in the Gulf of Mexico, Michael is the most powerful hurricane to hit the U.S. mainland in nearly 50 years.

Terrifying sustained winds of 155 mph winds and torrential rains battered the Florida Panhandle, submerging entire neighborhoods, knocking power out to more than 293,000 Florida utility customers by early Wednesday evening and forcing hundreds more from their homes to escape rising floodwaters.

The National Weather Service warned the storm is likely to spawn tornados across the Panhandle, southeast Georgia and South Carolina by early Wednesday evening.

Some 30 million people in the Florida Panhandle, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and the Carolinas are under hurricane or tropical storm warnings or watches as the monster storm churns inland.

Below is a roundup of all the latest Hurricane Michael photos and charts, as locals and officials alike brace for the worst to come.
