Mascara Dorada (now Gran Metalik) had his final match for CMLL last night at Arena Mexico and bid farewell to the promotion as he heads to WWE. Though not technically the main event, the trios match in the semi-main with Dorada overshadowed anything else on the show being his final match in Arena Mexico for now. In that match, Dorada teamed with Atlantis and Diamante Azul in facing Negros Casas, Felino and Cavernario. His farewell was even the focus of mainstream news coverage of the card. Fellow luchadors hoisted Dorada on their shoulders and paraded him around the ring after his match. He also spoke with reporters afterwards. Dorada had similar farewells this past week in places like Guadalajara.
Kane did an interview with Top Rope Press discussing why the Raw brand is at a disadvantage with a three-hour show.
WWE.com has an article on Wesley Blake and former Tough Enough winner Sara Lee revealing that they’re having a girl.
WWE’s YouTube channel looks at the 10 greatest Survivor Series debuts.
Playmates Toys has released a line combining WWE and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, available only at Walmart. John Cena is Leonardo, Sting is Raphael, Undertaker is Donatello, and Randy Savage is Michelangelo.
All 13 Tribute To The Troops shows are now available on WWE Network. The Network also added a Randy Savage collection, a Steve Austin vs. Vince McMahon collection, and a classic Smackdown collection. As of yet, there are no plans to add an Arachnaman collection.

Jim Ross’ autobiography will be called Slobberknocker, set to be released in the fall of 2017 through Skyhorse Publishing. Friend of the site Paul O’Brien worked with Ross extensively on the book.
Michael Elgin posted an update on his eye injury: “Home from the hospital. Looks like the area wasn’t cleaned out properly during the original surgery. Which allowed the incision to stay irritated and swollen. This stopped it from closing fully and bacteria got into the wound. I am basically on 4 weeks of rest and antibiotics. The doctors said the bone was fine, but the bacteria was at risk of reaching the bone. So the next 4 weeks are crucial to be cleared.”
Ratings were down for this week’s edition of Impact with 317k viewers watching the show compared to last week’s 359k.
