New Names Confirmed for Raw 25, Why Foley & Hart Won’t be There

All of the stars that WWE can possibly find have been booked for Raw’s 25th anniversary show this Monday night. The historic show promises to be unique due to the fact that it will be taking place in the Barclays Center and the Manhattan Center. Performers such as Scott Hall, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Trish Stratus have already been announced for the show, but a few brand new names were just recently confirmed. Former WWE and ESPN personality Jonathan Coachman announced on Twitter that he will be attending the show.  Coachman noted that he will be on the show this Monday night even though WWE did not include him in any of the previous guest announcements.

I will be there. I guess they didn’t think I was big enough to include in the announcement. So I announced it myself this morning on my @facebook live and @PeriscopeCo show. If you don’t promote yourself no one will. 🙂 https://t.co/kDUtsdkzp6

Two other names that have been confirmed for the show are Mark Henry and Jeff Hardy. PWInsider recently revealed that both stars are booked for the event. Henry is now semi-retired from the ring and only makes occasional appearances on WWE television, but “The World’s Strongest Man” will reportedly be coming back on Raw this week. As for Jeff Hardy, this will be his first appearance on WWE television ever since he went down with a shoulder injury last year. No word on whether or not he is getting any close to returning to wrestle, but he will be appearing on Raw this Monday night. With “Woken” Matt Hardy lurking around, Jeff’s appearance on Raw could be very interesting.
Two names that are mysteriously absent from the list of guest stars appearing on Raw this Monday night are Bret Hart and Mick Foley. Both of these men are responsible for creating several memorable moments throughout Raw’s history. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has confirmed that Hart will be unable to attend the show due to a special hand surgeon flying in from Paris to meet with him. Hart is not able to reschedule to meeting and will be missing the show as a result. As for Foley, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter states that WWE does not want to bring Foley back so soon after firing him in storyline last year. However, PWInsider claims that Foley will be unable to attend the show due to a family vacation that he had already booked for January 22nd.
