WrestleMania is On Sale, Impact Departures Expected, PPV Length

Wrestlemania returned to Orlando earlier this year and shattered multiple records, and they brought in a tremendously high amount of revenue for the city this year. It makes sense that several cities would be lining up to host the event. New Orleans will be hosting WrestleMania in April of 2018 and WWE is working right now to make the event as huge as possible. As of yesterday, tickets for Wrestlemania 34 in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on April 8th, 2018 are now officially on sale at last. The event will feature WrestleMania, Raw, Smackdown, NXT, and several other wrestling events in the New Orleans area as usual. It has not been an easy year for Impact Wrestling as they have had to see numerous talents leave the promotion, and they have also had to let go of several members of the roster this year. Names such as James Storm, Rockstar Spud, Earl Hebner, and dozens of other names have left the company just recently. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed that several other roster members and office members who work for Impact are expected to be let go very shortly. James Storm was among the highest paid talents in the company up until recently, and Impact can no longer afford to pay his salary. So it seems likely that neither top stars nor lower-card roster members are safe from being cut.
Survivor Series is going to be taking place this Sunday night on the WWE Network, and since it is one of WWE’s top four pay-per-view of the year, it will follow the common formula of hosting NXT, Raw, and Smackdown in the same city all throughout next week. As if the amount of wrestling was not already enough, Cageside Seats reports that just the Survivor Series show alone is expected to be five hours long this year. This is reportedly due to the fact that WWE wants to give a good amount of time to every match and every wrestler’s entrance.
