Dana White Says Brock Lesnar's UFC Return Might Not Happen Now

At the UFC Seasonal Press Conference event in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday afternoon, UFC President Dana White offered the latest details regarding the company’s negotiations, or lack thereof, with former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar, who lost the WWE Universal Championship in the WrestleMania 35 opener to Seth Rollins, soon after Paul Heyman cut a promo that seemed to indicate he was on his way back to the Las Vegas-based fight-promotion, the Ultimate Fighting Championship — and ultimately, that might not happen after all.

When asked about the status of the booking of the UFC Heavyweight Championship bout between current title holder Daniel Cormier and former champion, Lesnar, the UFC boss man didn’t seem overly optimistic.

“Seriously, that fight isn’t even in the works,” said White during the press event on Friday. “That fight may not even happen.”

White followed up by stating that Cormier’s next fight may be against former UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic, which would rule out the Lesnar return even further, unless an opponent other than D.C. is in the works.

That is not considered very likely.
