After Capture Of Sundari, Second Translocated Tiger, Mahavir Found Dead In Satkosia Reserve

The ambitious project to repopulate the Odisha’s Satkosia Tiger Reserve by translocating big cats from outside the state has hit a dead end after one of the tigers died. The second relocated big cat, a tigress called Sundair was recently tranquillised and kept under observation in a zoo.

The body of Mahavir, the male tiger was found in Raiguda range on Hindol-Narsinghpur border- the core area of Satkosia Tiger Reserve (STR) in Angul district on Wednesday afternoon.
