Arsenal transfer news: Gunners ‘preparing offer’ for Flamengo midfielder Reinier Jesus

Arsenal are reportedly preparing an offer for highly-rated Flamengo youngster Reinier Jesus.

The Brazil wonderkid is regarded one of the most talented young midfielders in the world and Unai Emery is desperate to bring him to the Emirates, Tuttomercatoweb report.

Reinier, 17, who has captained Brazil at youth level, has a release clause in his contract worth a staggering £60million.

The midfielder plays with elegance and style and has been dubbed a ‘Kaka clone’ after Milan and Brazil’s former Ballon d’Or winner .

However, Reinier revealed he grew up idolising and hoping to emulate a different midfield legend.

It is unlikely Arsenal will be able to afford Reinier’s release clause, however, given they will allegedly have a transfer budget of just £40million this summer.

The Gunners finished fifth in the Premier League and in their last chance of qualifying for the Champions League, the Europa League final, Emery’s side were beaten 4-1 by Chelsea to face a third successive season outside Europe’s premier cup competition.
