Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder conceded his side were ‘not great’ in the 1-0 victory over West Ham in their last league game and he will want to see an improvement at the Emirates.

A win for Arsenal could see the Gunners climb to eighth and above north London rivals Tottenham whereas another three points for Sheffield United could see them leapfrog Manchester United into fifth.

Arsenal vs Sheffield United: Head-to-head

Sheffield United have taken the three points on the previous two occasions these sides met in the Premier League.

The first came in the 2006/07 season where the Blades played the last 30 minutes with Phil Jagielka between the sticks after goalkeeper Paddy Kenny left the field injured and all three subs had been used.

The second came earlier this season and almost 13 years after the last league meeting between the two when Lys Mousset’s 30^th minute effort was enough to separate the sides at Bramall Lane.

Due to Sheffield United’s stint outside of the Premier League the only other meetings between the two sides in recent years were in the League Cup which Arsenal won comfortably both times with respective score lines of 3-0 and 6-0.

Sheffield United are looking for their first league double over Arsenal since the 1946/47 season, having won 1-0 against the Gunners at Bramall Lane in October.
Sheffield United could become the first newly-promoted team to complete a league double over Arsenal since Blackburn Rovers in the 1992/93 season.
Arsenal have won just one of their last seven home league games (D3 L3), though it was last time out against Manchester United. The Gunners have already lost three home league games this season, last losing more at the Emirates in a single campaign in 2010/11 (4).
