Bears kicker Eddy Pineiro's first kick does not hit the uprights | Sporting News
Eddy Pineiro’s career is off to a good start for the Bears.
The 23-year-old kicker made his first kick as a member of the Bears on Thursday, putting a 38-yard attempt right down the middle at Soldier Field.
The kick never had a chance of hitting either upright.

Normally a made 38-yard-field goal wouldn’t have been a big deal in an NFL game, but in Chicago, it’s a breath of fresh air.
The Bears’ season ended last year when kicker Cody Parker’s game-winning field-goal attempt was blocked and bounced off of two uprights in a wild-card round loss to the Eagles.
What happened after that was pure madness as the Bears seemingly tried out every kicker with a leg attached to their body to make their team.
Ultimately Pineiro won out and it appears he can make kicks.
We’ll see how his entire year goes.
