Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair To Clash At WWE Fastlane w/ Major WrestleMania Implications (MAJOR UPDATE)
Earlier tonight it was reported that “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey had been stripped of the RAW Women’s Championship after leaving the title laying in the middle of the ring last week; a decision made by Stephanie McMahon, who called the champion’s actions “blasphemous”.
It was then announced that Becky Lynch’s 60-day suspension had been lifted — yes, the one laid down by Vince McMahon himself just two weeks ago — and that The Man would face Charlotte Flair for the vacant title this Sunday at WWE Fastlane.
The final segment on WWE RAW this week saw a major shakeup to those plans, as Rousey stormed the ring and demanded her title back. She then stated she could “go rogue” whenever she wanted because the McMahon family cared more about their bank account than standing up to her, and even turned on the fans for booing her in her hometown of Los Angeles awhile back.
As things stand now, Stephane has reinstated Rousey as the RAW Women’s Champion, but the match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair stands for this Sunday at WWE Fastlane. Should The Man lose her match it will be her final opportunity, and she will return to Smackdown Live empty-handed with no match at this year’s April Classic. However, should the Irish Lasskicker emerge victorious at Fastlane, the WrestleMania main event will become a triple threat match.
