BREAKING: Paige OUT As Smackdown Live General Manager

As a part of the new McMahon-driven directive to “shake up” Monday Night RAW and Smackdown Live, it was revealed this Tuesday evening that former WWE Divas Champion Paige would no longer serve as the blue brand’s acting General Manager.

WWE has released a video of Shane McMahon meeting with talent prior to the broadcast of Smackdown Live this week, explaining that while Paige “isn’t going anywhere” her role with the company going forward will have to change.

With Vince himself making a rare appearance on the show, and the family (including Triple H) vowing to be more “hands on” with the product, having that additional authority figure in place does feel a bit redundant.

What’s interesting is Shane making sure to include that Paige will remain a part of the show going forward. The question becomes — to what extent will she be involved?
