Brighton defender Lewis Dunk takes ingenious, quick-minded free-kick to bamboozle Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian

Well played, Lewis Dunk!

The central defender handed Brighton a lifeline with an ingenious quick-minded free kick.

Just seconds after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was sacrificed to bring on Adrian after Alisson’s red card, the Seagulls halved the deficit thanks to the quick thinking of the 28-year-old.

Jurgen Klopp’s side had just switched off completely at the back and Adrian wasn’t ready in the net.

The Englishman then asked if he could take the free-kick quickly and did, placing it into the bottom corner.

Unfortunately for the visitors the goal came just too late and Liverpool were able to narrowly see out the victory.

Virgil Van Dijk’s two well-taken headers sent the pace-setters 11 points clear in the Premier League.
