Gordon Banks sadly passed away this week, at the age of 81. England’s World Cup-winning goalkeeper of 1966, Banks was one of the greats of his generation and enjoyed a truly remarkable career. He was capped 73 times for his country and was named FIFA Goalkeeper of the Year on six occasions, while he also had notable success at club level with Leicester and Stoke. The Metropolitan Police have released pictures of 12 people who they wish to talk to in connection with brawls which took place around the Millwall vs Everton FA Cup clash. Millwall’s excellent defeat of the Premier League side on January 26 was marred by widespread disorder which occurred before, during and after the match, with one male left with life-changing facial injuries after being slashed across the face.
