Christophe Galtier expecting up to five PSG recruits
Speaking after the club’s 6-2 victory over Osaka Gamba in their pre-season tour of Japan, PSG manager Christophe Galtier revealed that he expects as many as five signings potentially by the end of the week.
He said, “The club is working in order to improve the team. We’re going to take a plane, make a 12-hour journey, we’ll sleep and when we land, we’ll perhaps have one or two, maybe even three, four or five more players. We’ll see what happens this week.”
The next stage of PSG’s pre-season preparations will begin at the Camp des Loges on Wednesday. It has previously been reported by L’Équipe that Luis Campos is keen to complete the signings of Nordi Mukiele (24) and Renato Sanches (24) by the time the team arrive back at their training ground.
It is clear that Galtier, who joined the club from OGC Nice this summer, is expecting even more recruitment. The club has already signed Vitinha (22), taken Hugo Ekitike (20) on loan from Stade de Reims and activated the buy option in Nuno Mendes’ (20) loan contract.
