Enzo/Cass Team Name Revealed, G1 Supercard Invasion Full Details
On a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, an in-depth and detailed analysis of The Enzo & Big Cass invasion that took place at The ROH/NJPW G1 Supercard Event from Madison Square Garden in New York City was explained from the moment it started to the moment it ended.
Following The 4-Way Winner Take All Tag Team Match for both The IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team & ROH World Tag Team Titles, Mark Briscoe was seen throwing punches at a fan, who turned out to be Enzo. Big Cass, who was sitting next to Enzo surrounded by planted fans, got involved shortly afterwards. Those who were sitting nearby could immediately tell that this was an angle as security did nothing to intervene. Reports state that security was notified that this would take place, but were not told specifically what the angle would be. The exchange would then end up being really stiff in an attempt to prove that the brawl was real. The Guerrillas Of Destiny, nor anyone from NJPW, were informed about Enzo & Cass’ angle. Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa did nothing to participate in the brawl as they were disgusted by it. Tama would later take to Twitter and comment about the situation, calling it “ROH booking at its finest.”
Regarding Enzo & Cass, reports indicate that their new tag team name is now being called The Free AgentZ. Enzo & Cass recently took to social media and released a promo video with their new monikers, nZo & CazXL. The footage of the brawl was not shown on The PPV, with the idea being that it wasn’t supposed to happen. Bully Ray was even sent out to assist The Briscoes. The Observer also indicates that Cass did not appear to be in great shape and received several hard shots from The Briscoes.
