Fantasy Injury Updates: Derrius Guice, Rashaad Penny, Bo Scarbrough, Derrick Henry impact Week 15 RB waiver pickups | Sporting News
Derrius Guice looks like a knee injury may end his season yet again, leaving fantasy owners constantly wondering what he can become. A knee injury may also spell the end of Rashaad Penny’s season, while Bo Scarbrough’s time as Lions’ starter could be coming to an end due to a ribs injury. There could be a lot of Adrian Peterson in Weeks 15 and 16, if you’re feeling like picking up a future Hall of Famer on the waiver wire. And while Derrick Henry tried to play through it, there could be something to his injury, as well. Get the latest updates below.

Derrius Guice injury update
Guice left Sunday’s game in the first half after taking a big shot to his left knee, and the Redskins ruled him out in the second half. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that Guice sprained his MCL on that play. Multiple reports indicate Guice will undergo an MRI to get an official diagnosis.
Considering Guice’s history of knee injuries, there’s basically no reason for Washington to push him no matter the diagnosis. That means Adrian Peterson, who saw 20 carries and scored from a yard out Sunday, should get 15-plus touches a game down the stretch in what could be a last hurrah for him, making him a FLEX play if nothing else going forward.
WEEK 15: Top Waiver Pickups
Rashaad Penny injury news
Penny left Sunday’s game on the opening drive after limping off the field after a screen pass. He was ruled out quickly by the Seahawks with a knee injury. Pete Carroll told reporters after the game that Penny sprained his ACL.
C.J. Prosise saw a few snaps as a change-of-pace back, but Penny’s likely absence going forward means that Chris Carson is totally trustable as the workhorse back in Seattle, which is perfectly timed with a great matchup against Carolina coming up in Week 15.
Bo Scarbrough injury update
Scarbrough exited Sunday’s game in the fourth quarter with a ribs injury. He didn’t return, but there was no update after the game on his status.
If Scarbrough were to miss time, we’d expect a pretty even split between Ty Johnson on early downs and J.D. McKissic on passing downs in Week 15 against the Buccaneers’ stout run defense. Kerryon Johnson (knee) could return in Week 16, so if you’re picking up anyone from the Detroit backfield at this point, it might as well be him.
Derrick Henry injury news
Henry missed the end of Sunday’s game due to what appeared to be a hamstring injury. The Titans were winning in a blowout, though, and he had been playing through it during the game. Mike Vrabel said postgame that Henry had to “work through something” but would be starting a treatment program immediately.
We’ll have to keep an eye on this one throughout the week. Tennessee still has a lot to play for, so we’d expect Henry to suit up even at less than 100 percent against the Texans in Week 15. If he were to miss time, Dion Lewis is the only other tailback on the roster (along with fullback Khari Blasingame).
Josh Jacobs injury update
Jacobs is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his reportedly fractured shoulder after it held him out of Week 14. His season could be over.
DeAndre Washington is the priority waiver claim here, while Jalen Richard is falso worth snagging in PPR leagues, assuming Jacobs is shut down.
