FC Andorra, owned by Barcelona defender Gerard Pique, sign Shakira’s nephew Tarik Antonio Mebarak
Gerard Pique’s club have signed the nephew of his partner Shakira.
Tarik Antonio Mebarak made his debut for FC Andorra’s second team in a 4-1 win over Rialp on Sunday.
Pique’s Kosmos Global Holding group bought FC Andorra in August 2018 and they were promoted to Spain’s third tier in their first season under his ownership.

Mebarak, who was without a club after spells with Junior de Barranquilla and Independiente Santa Fe, is the son of Shakira’s brother.
Barcelona defender Pique and pop star Shakira have been together since 2011 and have two children.
Following Mebarak’s performance against Rialp, coach Carlos Sanchez said: “He plays as a right-back, but I fielded him as a winger on Sunday because he’s a very pacey, powerful player.
“Physically, he’s a beast.”
Pique launched Kosmos with Hiroshi Mikitani, founder of electronic goods firm Rakuten, Barcelona’s current shirt sponsors, in 2017.
The company reportedly failed with a late bid to buy National League club Notts County in the summer.
Pique was believed to be attracted by the club’s rich history and planned to transform Meadow Lane into a ‘finishing school for homegrown talent’.
However, County were eventually sold to Danish brothers Alexander and Christoffer Reedtz in July.
