Impact Wrestling in Talks with Several TV Networks, Stunt Injured

Impact Wrestling has been growing in quality over the past few months on Pop TV. The promotion has a roster loaded with talent at the moment, and their Slammiversary and Bound for Glory pay-per-views this year have mostly been met with praise from fans. However, the promotion’s future on Pop TV has been in doubt for a number of weeks now. The trouble all began when the network moved Impact to a 10pm ET start time on Thursday nights rather than the 8pm ET start time that Impact had previously been operating under. Since then, a number of reports all claiming that Impact’s parent company, Anthem Sports & Entertainment, are looking to take the program to a different network in the future have surfaced.
Pop TV very well could be losing Impact to an opposing station very soon as PWTorch has reported that Anthem officials have begun talks with a couple of different networks about airing Impact. These networks reportedly include SyFy, TruTV, and WGN. Impact had been trying to regain its 8pm slot on Pop TV, but the network refused to give it back. Impact’s current deal with Pop TV expires at the end of the year, but it was noted that shows are expected to keep airing throughout most of the early part of 2019. If Anthem cannot find a network willing to air Impact, the promotion will have to remain in the 10pm time slot on Pop TV. Expect more information on Impact Wrestling’s potential new home to come out very soon.
One independent wrestler who has become a sensation this year is Marko Stunt. Stunt has been making a name for himself in several different promotions this year, and fans immediately took notice of him during All In earlier this year due to his unique look. Although Marko’s career has continued to flourish, it appears that he will have to take some time off from the ring now in order to nurse an injury. During a Game Changer Wrestling event earlier this week, Stunt received a broken fibula during his match against Eli Everfly. Marko informed fans on Twitter that he already received surgery for the injury earlier today. Hopefully, this injury is only a temporary setback that won’t keep Marko Stunt out of action for too long.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to check on me, or wished me a speedy recovery! Unfortunately I did suffer a bad break in my leg tonight. I have to have surgery in a few hours, and will keep everyone updated
