Jorge Sampaoli calls for Peter Bosz to be given time
Ahead of Sunday’s Choc des Olympiques, Marseille manager Jorge Sampaoli defended his counterpart Peter Bosz, calling for the struggling Lyon manager to be given more time according to RMC.

In Saturday’s pre-match press conference, the Argentinian manager said, “At the start of the season, everyone agreed that Lyon were the closest to PSG in terms of the quality of their team. Perhaps the manager hasn’t yet found consistency in what he wants to do. I say that because I know Bosz’s teams, he will need time.”
Lyon currently languish in eighth in the table, five points off Strasbourg, who currently sit in the Uefa Conference League, and seven points off Rennes, who occupy the final Champions League spot.
Despite this, Sampaoli still backs them to bounce back. “This team is made for the Champions League. They are far off in the rankings, but I don’t think that it’s deserved. They have the quality to fight back.”
In what has been an amical build-up to the Choc des Olympiques, Bosz was similarly complimentary of Sampaoli, who appreciated his counterparts comments. “Praise from a colleague is always important…it’s always interesting to see that other managers are watching our work.”
