TNA Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle wrestled his final match for TNA at the Impact Wrestling television taping from Birmingham, England on Sunday evening.
Angle, who came into the business as a legitimate Olympic gold medalist in wrestling, became a true wrestling traditionalist during his near-20 year career, and on Sunday he followed the time-honored tradition of putting over your opponent “on the way out,” as Bobby Lashley defeated Angle in his final match for the promotion.
After the match, Lashley attacked Angle until Drew Galloway and Eddie Edwards came to the ring to make the save. The two attempted to chase Lashley off, however it wasn’t until Ethan Carter III came out that he and Angle were able to clear the ring.
Once the storyline commitments were met, Angle got on the microphone and delivered an emotional speech, thanking the fans for their support throughout his legendary career.
