Liverpool summer signing Sepp van den Berg hoping to learn from Virgil van Dijk – ‘if he gives me tips, I’ll save them’
Liverpool made very few signings throughout the summer, but one of the players they did bring to Anfield was highly-rated defender Sepp van den Berg.
Speaking to FOX Sports, the teenage centre-back opened up on his first few months on Merseyside, which has seen him train with Jurgen Klopp’s first-team and learn from senior players.

One player in particular Van den Berg has been watching in Virgil van Dijk, his compatriot and the recently crowned UEFA Defender of the Season.
Liverpool bosses reportedly see a bright future for Van den Berg, but he is just enjoying getting the chance to continue his development under Klopp at the moment.
“They actually teach me everything,” said Van den Berg.
“Virgil van Dijk, for example, who I can watch. They teach me how to win the Champions League final. That’s football
“Everyone helps me. I can learn the most from Van Dijk. So if he gives me tips, I’ll save them. If I make a mistake like not stepping up, etc. Things like that. Things you need to know.
“Everyone received me well. That made me feel good. In the end, I’m not here in vain. I want to show what I can do.”
