The two are the only top-flight clubs to have won both of their matches to open up the 2019/20 campaign.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: “There are different types of team spirit, the team won the Champions League last season so it would be strange if they didn’t [have good team spirit].

“It’s about being able to kick the butts of your team-mates, not just having drinks together.

“I liked what Hendo [Jordan Henderson] said in pre-season when he said ‘we’d be friends forever.’ Not best friends, you’ve got to be able to push each other for now.”

Arsenal boss Unai Emery: “I think the motivation for us is very big on Saturday. We are going to have some Arsenal supporters helping us and it’s a big challenge.

“It’s going to be a different game to Burnley because the team is different. They are going to demand different tactical issues, but we want to play and show how we are now.

“It’s a big test to show their capacity and our capacity.”
