City won both league clashes 1-0 against Tottenham last term but Mauricio Pochettino’s side did claim a famous victory in their Champions League quarter-final showdown.

Pep Guardiola’s champions look in ominous form already this season having won the Community Sheild before sweeping the Hammers aside.

But Spurs are being tipped to challenge for the top-flight crown this term and could down a huge marker with a positive result at the Etihad.

Man City vs Tottenham: Team news and line-ups

City will be without Benjamin Mendy and Leroy Sane again but have a clean bill of health for the match other than that.

Sergio Aguero came off the bench to score against West Ham so he could come into the starting line-up.

For Tottenham, they are still without Dele Alli and Ryan Sessegnon for the trip to City.

Both have hamstring injuries and are still a couple of weeks away from fitness.

Ben Davies is back training with the squad and Giovani Lo Celso may be involved after his first full week’s training at the club.
