Meanwhile, Red Devils chiefs are also said to be ‘close’ to agreeing a new long-term deal for striker Marcus Rashford.
The 21-year-old has been locked in contract talks for months with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen to tie him down.
Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus are believed to have been monitoring the England forward.
But The Times claim Rashford, who was reportedly demanding a £300,000-a-week deal, is ready to commit his long-term future to Old Trafford.
After a disastrous 2018/19 season, which saw United finish trophyless and sixth in the Premier League, Rashford is understood to be determined to turn the club’s fortunes around.
