Mumbai, Gujarat & Kerala ‘Most Vulnerable’ To 2.8 Ft Sea Rise Predicted In Less Than 100 Years
In a study conducted by a research institute, the government told the Lok Sabha on Friday that sea levels are expected to rise by 34 inches or 2.8 feet by the end of the century due to global warming.

Times of India reported that the government shared studies by the Hyderabad based Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services that showed that cities especially on the western coastline were most vulnerable to sea-level rise.
Financial capital of India, Mumbai, other vast stretches such as Khambat and Kutch in Gujarat along with parts of Konkan and south Kerala were the most susceptible to this change. Deltas of Ganga, Krishna Godavari, Cauvery and Mahanadi also stood endangered.
