Official | 40-year-old Benjamin Nivet signs new contract with ESTAC Troyes

Benjamin Nivet has extended his career for yet another season as it was confirmed today that he has signed a new deal with Troyes.

The 40-year-old was key to Troyes promotion to Ligue 1 this campaign, scoring some vital goals as they gained promotion through the play off system, with Nivet scoring as they defeated Lorient.

Nivet made 39 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 10 goals and assisting his teammates eight times, and will be joining his club in Ligue 1 once again, after his disappointing campaign a couple of seasons ago with Troyes.

The veteran forward has been with Troyes since 2012 after joining on a free transfer from Caen and is enjoying a second spell with the club. With just under 650 games under his belt and 117 goals to his name, captain Nivet will be hoping for more luck next season in the top flight.
